Neo-Cons Hypocritical on Hate Speech

Nov. 2006

State Republicans have apparently not learned much from the last election.  Here is a recent quote from the Washington State Neo-Con leader…

"Taxpayers support academics not some professor's hate speech.  You cannot be a public supported scholar and engage in this type of behavior," said WSRP Chairman Diane Tebelius.  "Professor Streamas has proven that he is unfit to teach students.  If the University does not take strong action, it proves that there are different standards applied to students who hold certain political views and that hate speech by sitting professors is acceptable if students don't share their political views."

Where was her outrage when the leaders of our nation, and her political party, were out peddling hate speech all around the nation last month?  They told us that a vote for a Democrat was a vote for the devil, terrorists and any other evil thing they could think of.  They were doing this using tax payer money.  We just paid the Republican Party $50,000+ an hour, from the heavily in debt US Treasury, to fly the President around the country to campaign for his party while attempting to further divide the nation with his undisguised hate speech.

If hate speech is wrong for Professors on the states payroll, should not the President of our nation be held to the same or higher standard?   Appling the Tebelius standard for those on the public payroll to the President proves that Mr. Bush “is unfit” to hold his job.
