Editorials![]()

This part of the web site is dedicated to putting up copies of some of the editorials that I have written over the years, most of which were published in the now defunct local newspaper the North Snohomish Weekly. The Weekly limited editorials to only 500 words, so each topic is quite short, much shorter than I would have liked. Plus no more than one letter per author per month was allowed. But these limits did impose a certain regiment, thus the letters are all quick reads. For you folks that like flashy sites I have not forgot the color or the ge-gahs that permeate web pages, its just that the easiest background and text color for actually reading while on the Internet is a white background and black text (at least for me). It really is easier on the eyes, enjoy.
As you will see I am a Liberal and for the most part follow the typical beliefs of the left wing of this country (though it seems there are very few of us remaining). But I do differ on some fundamental concepts and I do take some unique views on well known topics. If you would like to read any of the editorials you might notice them. Most of these letters were written leading up the 1996 Presidential Election, at the time I saw no alliterative to a Democratic President, I would still vote the same way. However I am finding it harder and harder to support a president that proposes programs that Richard Nixon would support, and Thomas Jefferson would find insufferable.
I stand ready to answer anyone's rebuttal to my views. If your letter is interesting (and not too personally abusive) I will probably post it along with my response.
