Thanks For the Help
I would like to thank Mr. Wilkinson for his letter to the Editor on June 20th. His radical conservative views will only help to elect more Democrats in the fall. I am hoping that Mr. Wilkinson writes more letters. For instance he wrote that, "If Gore gets in, expect the red Chinese army in your homes before his administration is up." I remember seeing bumper stickers and editorials with the same dire prediction about a Clinton Presidency, instead what we got was unprecedented economic expansion, and a reduced national debt for the first time in forty years.
Mr. Wilkinson and others of his extreme right wing ilk (that is, scandal mongers, those who see evil conspiracies in everything, and in general spout unsubstantiated personal attacks based on less than a scintilla of evidence) are doing more to get Liberals back in office than any of the paid political advertisements from either side.
In his letter Mr. Wilkinson called Al Gore dumb. I don't know what criteria Mr. Wilkinson was using to draw this conclusion, but from watching VP Gore and Gov. Bush speak on C-SPAN I have drawn the conclusion that Gov. Bush is not only dumber than VP Gore, but George W. is dumber than Dan Quayle. If intelligence is what you base your presidential choice on, Gov. George W. Bush is not your man.
